A stunning examination of sexual identity crisis. The happy, isolated farm life of feminine Jill Banford and masculine Ellen March is disrupted by the intrusion of the manly former resident, Paul. As Ellen struggles to determine if she loves Paul or Jill, the long-term relationship of the women is shattered, resulting in tragedy. A perfect movie for film study.
