• In the 2001 UK cinema re-release, the music carries on for 10-15 minutes
  after the end of the credits.
• The original theatrical release had Ligeti's Atmospheres to a black screen
  for roughly 8 to 10 minutes before the movie began, and Strauss' The Blue
  Danube well after the end credits to a black screen.
• The traditional "roaring lion" logo for MGM was not used in this film.
  Instead, the newly designed corporate logo for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer was
  used, along with the letters "MGM", all in white against a blue background.
• No opening credits for actors, writers, producer, director, etc. are shown,
  with the story beginning right after the title. Although by the 1990s it
  had become quite common for major films to not have opening credits, it was
  still unusual in 1968.
• "Thus Spake Zarathustra" is the only musical piece in the film whose conductor and orchestra are not mentioned in the closing credits. For all other pieces, the orchestra which plays it, and the conductor who leads it, are given screen credit.
