Definitely "something weird", 27 July 2009
5/10

Quite often "Something Weird" films are 60's and 70's soft-core porno which is only interesting because it's dated & usually, kind of poorly done, therefore eliciting some laughs. "Two Girls For A Madman" is definitely weird, though.

We have your basic slutty ballerina "Prima Donna" wannabe who spends more time in front of a mirror than she does anywhere else. And then there's her friend, who is more serious about her dancing, but she doesn't have quite the drive (i.e., the willingness to sleep around) that her friend does.

Of course, we have our madman, Frank, as played by one "Lucky Kargo", who may have more teeth than possible for the human mouth, and when he grins, he's definitely scary. Frank has been seeing a doctor, and the doctor has advised Frank that it would be in his best interest if he "got help", but Frank says he'll decide when...meaning that he's out for some more fun first, I guess. Raping, threatening, cackling...yep, he's a madman, alright.

The "Prima Donna" gal doesn't get her big part (in a commercial) because her manager pawed her a bit too much & she's black & blue, so she loses the part. But she's given up her chance to go to Amsterdam to dance to her friend, and decides at the last minute to change her mind, which leads to a rather bizarre twist.

This is worth seeing because it's got a good 60's feel and look to it and the characters are just so...uh...interesting. I generally think of ballerinas as high-class types, but I guess it's possible for them to be slutty too, as is well illustrated here. Worth watching for a few laughs and a couple of head-scratches. 5 out of 10.
