- There was one scene with a little girl in her underwear having a check-up. During the check-up, the girl was lying down and her pediatrician said she had to check under her panties to make sure she's healthy. After finishing, the pediatrician tells her if anyone wants to look or touch under her panties, she must say "no" and tell mommy. No nudity is seen, and this is only included for educational purposes, so children can know what to expect from a regular check-up.

- During the week dubbed "Superhero's" Mister Rogers tells a story of a boy who tried to fly after putting on a Superman Costume, and ended up getting hurt badly. Meant to show children that only fictional characters can fly, and people cannot.

- Unlike many children's shows of the time, Mister Rogers occasionally dealt with difficult topics such as War, Violence, Death, and even Divorce. However it s all educational, and meant to help children understand that these things happen in life, but as long as we care for each other and help everyone understand that they are cared for, we can make it through the rough times.
- Mister Rogers occasionally sings a song called "What Do You Do With The Mad That You Feel?" He sometimes sings with a stern voice, however it's not meant to frighten or be intimidating, it is to help children think of ways to deal with anger and mad feelings, without hurting anyone.
- In one episode one of Mr Rogers' fish dies we see it lifeless on a paper towel. This may be upsetting to some viewers.
- Talks about divorce, death, tensions between race, threat of war etc.
