Storyline

Tarzan is summoned to Brazil by an old friend to stop an evil tribal cult from destroying native villages and enslaving the survivors. The Lord of the Jungle is accompanied on his quest by a pretty blonde doctor, a boy and a grizzled sea captain. Written by Marty McKee <mmckee@wkio.com>

Trivia

In the second week of filming, Dinky the chimp bit Mike Henry on the jaw. It took 20 stitches to repair the wound. Henry had monkey fever delirium for three days, and took three weeks to recuperate. The chimp was destroyed and replaced. Henry later sued the production company for negligence. He won the suit, but the amount was not made public. See more »

Continuity: Three cult natives are shown rising from brush to attack Captain Bishop (Murray) on the boat. Tarzan side-tackles all three and knocks them all down. Then Tarzan dispatches two of them and one is seen fleeing away. However, the next scene shows three natives on the ground. See more »
