Good Sight Gags
19 March 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A "viscious motorcycle gang is on the loose" and the Inspector's job is to bring them in for "disturbing the peace." He soon spots, "Pig Al," the leader of the gang (who wears an upside down pan on his head and looks like a sheep dog) riding down the street.

The two get into a gunfight trying to shoot the other guy's tires out but both have "bulletproof tires." Unfortunately, the rest of the Inspector's car is not bulletproof, and he winds up trying to follow the Pig-Al by only riding the boards "like they do in the movies."

From that point, we see some clever sight gags. Especially good was the Inspector flying through the air holding onto just the side of a cab door.

The signs at Pig-Al's hideout were funny, too, as were his gang members at the "secret" hideout. After a few mediocre efforts, it was good to see a solid effort again on this DVD, "The Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection, Vol. 6 - Inspector Cartoons." It was also good to see the poor Inspector actually succeed in one of his missions!
