Although this film was set in Miami, Florida, Elvis Presley's scenes were all shot in and around Los Angeles, California. All the Florida exteriors were shot in wide angles, using doubles and look-alike impersonators for Presley.
The little girl afraid to slide down the chute at the playground during the song "Confidence" was Lisa Slagle. She became a member of the Joffrey Ballet. She displays her burgeoning ballet talents in this scene, even enjoying a brief dance with Elvis.
Elvis' red sports car in the film is a one-of-a-kind 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray concept car. Originally silver in color, this car was the design inspiration for the "C2" generation of Corvettes (1963 - 1967), which took the name "Stingray" from this vehicle.
Elvis Presley had so much debt in early 1967, due to his purchase of a Memphis ranch with up-to-date equipment, that his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, had to sign the contract for this movie in a hurry so that Elvis could get his one million dollar fee. This was the last time Elvis would get the magic million dollars.
Goof, not a point of trivia: When the characters are on water skis, as he is supposed to be teaching her to ski, you can see she is wearing hosiery as worn with dresses. The toe piece is clearly visible when her foot is in the air on the rope.
Anita Mann is one of the main dancers (sporting orange striped pants) and also the Assistant Choreographer for this movie and Speedway (1968). She is perhaps best known for dancing with Monkee Davy Jones to the song "Cuddly Toy" in The Monkees (1966) season two, episode three, "Everywhere a Sheik, Sheik".
