Storyline

Winnie the Pooh, the honey loving silly old bear attempts to get honey from a bee tree, so after climbing the tree didn't work, he borrows Christopher Robin's balloon, dunks himself in mud and floats to the top of the honey tree incognito as a little black rain cloud. After escaping the angry bees, Pooh decides to get honey the old fashion way: getting some from Rabbit, so after stuffing his face with all of Rabbit's honey, Pooh attempts to climb out Rabbit's front door, but becomes stuck! No matter how hard everyone tries, they can't get him out, so they wait for Pooh to lose weight before they can get him out. Then along comes Gopher who agrees to help get Pooh out and almost feeds him more honey! But then one morning, Pooh is finally freed from the doorway and ends up in another sticky situation-quite literally! Written by Dylan Self <robocoptng986127@aol.com>

Quotes

Owl: Well, if it isn't Pooh Bear.
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, hello, Owl.
Owl: Splendid day to be up and about one's business, eh?
[Notices Pooh is stuck on Rabbit's door]
Owl: I say, are you stuck?
Winnie the Pooh: No, just resting, and thinking, and humming to myself.
[Hums]
Owl: You, sir, are stuck. A wedged bear in a great tightness. In a word, irremovable.

Classic

Wonderful classic tells the story of Winnie the Pooh's honey craving and the lengths he will go to in order to get some. It's a fun story with the memorable image of Pooh stuck in the door to Rabbit's house that everybody is familiar with. The characters, as always, are lovable and memorable. In addition to Pooh and Rabbit, there's Kanga, Eeyore, Owl, Roo, Gopher, and, of course, Christopher Robin. Piglet and Tigger would appear in the next Pooh short from Disney. The animation is excellent and there's some great songs by the Sherman Brothers. Let's not forget Sebastian Cabot's terrific narration. It's a great cartoon and would appear later in "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh," which is where I first saw it.
