The last of Len Lye's films is probably the most abstract of them all. You have no actors, no story, no objects or props, no scenery. Just a few random dots and lines (particles) floating around the screen, to the sound of monotonous music.
While it may seem strange even to the experimental/surrealist-film lover (like "Un Chien andalou" and "Entr'acte") this movie must be seen in another perspective: Lye is not trying to make a parallel between painting (abstract painting specially) and films. Or instrumental music and films. Most films try to only to maintain the parallel between theatre and films, the pattern in cinema since the Lumière brothers. It is almost like a different kind of art film, maybe it's not even cinema (in the strict sense, it's certainly not). But it is still great enjoyable and great.
