Several awarded children start a journey together to different places from Barcelona , Sitges and Vatican, where they meet Pope Pablo VI
ma-cortes8 June 2020
This is an agreeable film, being finely treated , both , lightly and sentimentally. Based on actual facts with a tender , brilliant and bland approach to reality , aiming to highlight the virtues of the kids involved in actions of attractive reunion , conflict and solidarity among very young people . Juán (Alberto Closas) is a Radio Commentator in charge of organizing the activities of the children awarded by the association between Cadena Ser and Iberia. Nine children, awarded for their exemplary or heroic conduct by the radio program 'Operación Plus Ultra' in association with the Iberia Airline , meet in Madrid. Led by the announcer Juán Aguilera (Alberto Closas) , assisted by his colleague (Manuel Alexandre) and a likeable cameraman (Jose Luis López Vazquez playing splendidly his usual role as a fast-talking , grumpy as well as sympathetic mature man) they go to Sitges . These children , little heroes of everyday life , will receive scholarships and a weekly trip to different places, from to Sitges to Vatican City . Along the way they dance Sardanas in Barcelona, pray in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela while watching move the Butafumeiro , and take a bath on Sitges beaches .

This is an enjoyable and good feeling movie , in which there is amusement , emotion , a forced marital dispute between the Radio man : Alberto Closas and his faithful wife : Julia Gutierrez Caba , the ordinary clichés of childish pranks enjoying themselves , propaganda about Francoist regime , tourist promotion and anything else . Nevertheless , it lacks singularity in its roles and more creativity , being as anecdotal as it is predictable . It blends documentary style with ¨Nodo news¨, fiction and comedy , chaining situations in different contexts , as they attend a reception with Paul VI , they recreate themselves in the life of a Navy academy including spectacular military parades , they have a lot of fun in the zoo and in the amusement park . Nice acting by the main starring , the veteran Argentinean Alberto Closas as a friendly and kind Radio newsreader . The comic relief is provided by the presence of the great José Luis López Vázquez as a grumpy photographer and Manuel Alexandre as a radio work partner of Alberto Closas . Furthermore, various cameos, from Luchy Soto , Elvira Quintillá , Laly Soldevilla , Santiago Bernabéu , Paul Naschy , Francisco Camoiras , Alfonso del Real , Jesús Guzman , José Orjas to Carmen Sevilla along with her husband the composer Augusto Alguero.

It contains a colorful and evocative cinematography by Juan Mariné . Shot on various locations in Madrid , Sitges , Barcelona , Rome . As well as catching and light musical score from Anton Garcia Abril and Augusto Alguero . Amusing script by Vicente Coello ("The Lord is Served" or ¨El señor esta servido¨ , ¨El abuelo tiene un plan¨or "Grandfather Has a Plan"), Pedro Masó ("Grandfather Made In Spain" or ¨Abuelo made in Spain¨, "The Secretaries"), Joaquín Peláez and Rafael J. Salvia ("Las Viudas" , "Sor Citroen"). It was professionally directed by Pedro Lazaga. This prolific filmmaker Lazaga directed various film with the popular comic player Paco Martinez Soria .
