Netflix Passes On "Terra Nova"

Steven Spielberg's prehistoric series "Terra Nova" is once again extinct.

After the Fox network opted not to pick up the sci-fi series for a second season, the show’s producer 20th Century Fox Television attempted to shop around the project. Shortly after came word that talks had begun between them and disc rental/streaming provider Netflix about continuing the series.

20th TV is not releasing the actors, but there's no other viable suitor at this time - in fact three actors from the show have already booked other dramas. »

The Cold War; a certain inner emptiness that went with a period of great material prosperity; once invisible fault lines on matters of race and gender discrimination beginning to crack – all »

9 January 2012 10:00 PM, PST | Leonard Maltin's Movie Crazy | See recent Leonard Maltin's Movie Crazy news »

Frank Frazetta is revered as one of the great illustrators of the 20th century; his comics, magazine and paperback covers, especially in the realm of science-fiction and fantasy, are highly collectible. But fewer people seem to know about his mostly-anonymous freelance assignments creating artwork for movie posters in the 1960s and 70s like What’s New Pussycat?, After the Fox, and The Night They Raided Minsky’s. My pal Drew Friedman remedies this oversight in his latest blog post at drewfriedman.blogspot.com, where you’ll not only find reproductions of his major work in this field but some original art and running commentary by Drew. This comes on the heels of...
