Speedy & Daffy's Halloween Brou-Ha-Ha
31 October 2008 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Here is another good Looney Tune cartoon for Halloween; starring one of my favorite Looney Tune characters - Speedy Gonzales.

This short also stars Daffy Duck and Witch Hazel too. It's another Halloween for Hazel, and frankly she found it boring ("...cook over a hot pot; day after day") and she need a vacation; so she tricked Speedy by giving a piece of cheese (contaminated with a magic potion), and when he ate it, Speedy turned into Hazel's double while the real Hazel flys to Hawaii; leaving Speedy to "take care of the shop." Meanwhile Daffy, who is taking his nephew up the Hazel's house to "prove that Witch Hazel is mere old lady." Then Speedy (in his Hazel-guise),invites Daffy in, and fixes him a cup of tea; which was really potion that turned Daffy in a...whatever (Uh-Oh! Speedy blew it).

You know, I found negativity towards the later Speedy cartoons that were made the late 1960s'; but I frankly enjoy them including this one.

*NOTE* 10/10 Stars for storyline and character dialogue
