He picks his team depending on which tasks need to be done. One thing is vital on an Impossible Mission: the mission must be carried out in entire secrecy, often relying on high-tech equipment and elaborate deceptions. Written by

The character played by Lynda Day George during Seasons Six and Seven is now credited as "Lisa Casey." That name only came about as a result of the 1988-1990 revival series, however. When George was brought back in 1989 in Episode 17 of the revival (titled "Reprisal") to play the same character she had played during the original, the creators were concerned that there might be some confusion between her character and the one played earlier during the revival series by Terry Markwell, who had also been named "Casey." Even though Markwell's character had been killed off in Episode 12 of that season ("The Fortune"), they abruptly re-christened the original Casey as "Lisa Casey" - a name George's character had never used in any of her 41 appearances during the original run of the series. In numerous episodes a very tiny black "tape player" is used. It is identifiable by the aluminum tape reels which each have three holes. This was a dummy prop and, in several shots, it is obvious that the tape is a continuous loop running around both reels since the shiny aluminum center of the "takeup" reel is visible rather than the brown tape color. Original , Inspired ,Clever well constructed series.
A great series full of original, inspired ideas. Recite "This tape will self-destruct etc..." and instantly everybody will be able to tell you where that line came from. Usually at the end of each episode you got to enjoy the bad guys realization that he has been out-done by the skillful planning of the I.M.F team. Not surprising that this series was so good since it came at a time when Herb Solow at Desilu studios had a big hand in production affairs..his other other responsibility was another legendary series ...Star Trek. The new film version "starring?" Tom Cruise was a huge disappointment. I hear that original series cast member Greg Morris called the new film "blasphemy". Right on Greg !! I wish Greg that it was possible to turn back time and have you and Peter, Martin, Barbara, Leonard and all , here to give us more truly great entertainment.
