Enough about Marvel, Spider-Man 4, Iron Man 2, Thor, The Avengers… What’s happening at DC? Well, Green Lantern is happening, by the looks of things. Seriously on the back foot when it comes to superhero movies (apart from Batman, and not counting more esoteric comics properties like Watchmen and V For Vendetta), there’s been little sign so far of the DC / Warner grand plan that group president Jeff Robinov outlined to the Wall Street Journal last summer. But the first signs of a DC resurgence may be emerging in glowing, green, romper-suited form, put together by writers Marc Guggenheim, Michael Green and Greg Berlanti, and directed by Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale). According to an interview with Guggenheim at SciFi Wire, the movie is set to go in front of the cameras in Australia later this year, for a summer 2011 release. The writer, who delivered a new draft of the script last week,

Eddie Murphy has personally confirmed the false report of him being signed up to play The Riddler in "Batman 3". The former "Saturday Night Live" cast member put off the possibility once and for all during his appearance on "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" on Tuesday, June 9.
When asked by host Conan O'Brien about the rumor, the 48-year-old said, "I heard that rumor as well. I don't know anything. Whoever is really playing the Riddler is sitting home calling his agent, going: 'We gotta have this rumor stopped.'" Still, he added that he would love to be involved in the sequel to "The Dark Knight", saying "I would love to be in one of these Batman movies."
As for which character he has in mind, he mentioned Egghead. "Jim Carrey did the Riddler once and he did a wonderful job. They did the Riddler and they did the Penguin

The UK tabloids have previously stated that Eddie Murphy was in talks to star as The Riddler in the upcoming The Dark Knight sequel—which always sounded like a load of bollocks to us, frankly. Meanwhile, on Tuesday evening's Tonight Show, where Murphy appeared as a guest, Conan O'Brien asked the actor about the rumor.
"I heard that rumor as well. I don't know anything," said Murphy. "Whoever is really playing the Riddler is sitting home calling his agent, going: 'We gotta have this rumor stopped.'"
"I would love to be in one of these Batman movies," Murphy subsequently admitted. "Jim Carrey did the Riddler once and he did a wonderful job. They did the Riddler and they did the Penguin and they've done Mr. Freeze and they did the Joker. I could be Egghead."
Murphy went on to do an impression of Vincent Price, who played Egghead in the 1960s Batman TV series.

Late last year, the online world was treated to a series of anonymously sourced, extremely unlikely casting rumors regarding the as-yet-unnamed “Batman 3” — the follow-up to last year’s phenomenally successful Christopher Nolan sequel, “The Dark Knight.” One of the more highly publicized rumors had actor/comedian Eddie Murphy pegged to play The Riddler (along with Shia Labeouf playing Robin). While we expressed our own disbelief at the time, Murphy quickly debunked it himself, too.
However, on last night’s episode of “The Tonight Show,” host Conan O’Brien brought up the rumor once again, and asked Murphy if there were any characters he would like to bring to the screen. The comedian’s answer was, appropriately enough, pretty darn funny.
“I heard that rumor as well. I don’t know anything about it,” said Murphy, quickly adding, “But I would love to be in one of those Batman movies.”

Back in December when new Batman rumors were swirling faster than the wind between buildings in Gotham City, the Brits from across the pond were having a blast chucking out one false casting rumor after the next. The truth at the time (and it still is to a degree) was that Christopher Nolan hadn't even started work on a script for the next Batman movie, and casting the thing was still a ways out.
One rumor that popped up had to do with Eddie Murphy becoming The Riddler in the new film. We all knew it was bullsh*t at the time, but it was finally confirmed by the man himself, Eddie Murphy, during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien last night. The clip isn't online yet (I'm sure it'll hit Hulu in the next day or so), but Conan actually brought up the Riddler rumor to

Well this is certainly a shocker. I know it's April Fool's Day and what not, but I certainly didn't expect such controversial movie news to coincidentally hit the web on April Fool's Day. According to Movie Site.com [1], Christopher Nolan has made some major casting announcements for his next Batman film. Get this; Don Rickles as Batman and Sammy Davis Jr. as the Joker! Huh? I'm sure I'm not the only person thinking a big Wtf at this news. First off, shouldn't these roles be reversed? Lots of people have been backing the idea of a Don Rickles Joker performance for years now, making Nolan's choice to cast him as Bruce Wayne a bit of a slap in the face of fans around the internebs. And Sammy Davis Jr.? Aside from the fact that he's been dead for years now, everyone knows that Davis Is The Dark Knight. In defense of his decision,

Sometimes good things come in small packages like Scampi Fries and Danny DeVito, but once in a blue moon we find something even more special. There have been a few movie gems that have had the privilege of a Lego makeover, with Star Wars, Batman and Indiana Jones getting their own Lego video games. But film student Tyler Clites has taken things into his own hands and created (drum roll please) Lego movie stars.
From the mad genius famous for exclamations of “Great Scott!” to the action man with the world’s dirtiest vest, Tyler has created a positive feast of mini delights. The scowling, eyepatch wearing master of escape Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) to the gravity defying antics of Mr Anderson (apparently he prefers to be called Neo).
No genre or era is off limits to Tyler, with his quirky collection ranging from the gun toting Lone Ranger and
