A germ warfare lab has had an accident. The first theory is that one of the nasty germs has gotten free and killed several scientists. The big fear is that a more virulent strain, named The Satan Bug because all life can be killed off by it should it escape, may have been stolen. Written by

Here we are almost 40 years after "The Satan Bug" and two months past September 11, 2001. I hadn't thought of this film in years but subject is once again all too fresh in our headlines. This was the film that was supposed to make George Maharis (of TV's Route 66) a film star and it was/is a very good movie. Unfortunately, like so many others that tried to make the jump from TV to the silverscreen, the public seemed to reject the idea and the film was not, as I recall, financially successful. I hope that it might get DVD treatment soon and it would be very interesting to view again in light of recent events.
