Parmalee is leaving town to give a speech and puts the Rangers in charge of the Laredo office while he's away. Then, when Reese returns from an assignment, Chad and Joe trick Reese into assuming the role of "acting captain" so they can go to San Gill. Reese discovers he has been had and heads to San Gill as well. Unknown to all the three Rangers, there are two complications awaiting them in San Gill. One, that's where Capt. Parmalee went to give his speech. Second, there is a plot being hatched in San Gill to kill officials of the Mexican government. |

The plan is nearly ruined when Reese Bennett finds the escapee's trail and takes off in pursuit. |
Original Air Date—20 January 1966 A pair of young English actors are arrested when their troupe manager bolts town with the gate receipts without paying the company's bills. Chad, in town pursuing an outlaw, convinces the sheriff to leave the young men in his care and turns them loose outside of town to return an earlier favor. The thespians decide to try to con a small community by pretending to be a preacher and a recent convert, but their act works better than they wished and soon the fake-minister is conducting an illegal wedding between a gunslinger and his fiancée. |

Reese, pretending to be a cattle buyer, tries to capture the men but is recognized; Joe, pretending to be a peddler of women's notions is also captured. Their only chance to survive is to promote discord among the bandits by causing them to fall out over their women captives. |

Original Air Date—25 November 1966 Traveling by stagecoach Joe Riley encounters a murderous yet illusive Indian Pete. Who was hired to kill fellow traveler young Gussie Smith. After safely reaching Laredo Gussie is told she has to wait a day or two for another stagecoach. Meanwhile Chad, Joe and Reese, after receiving their monthly paycheck of five dollars each, told by Capt Edward their in dept for other expenses. Head to the saloon for spirits, Chad however pools their money for a game of change and loses. They're soon hired by our young and very industrious Gussie to safely deliver her to her Uncle's ranch. But trouble from Indian Pete and an old enemy of Chad soon follows. |

Reese than flounders between leaving the boy with an orphanage and adopting him for his own. He than comes across the gang of gunman that murdered Black wing's father, and hold Reese for hostage. However Chad Joe and Erik to come to his rescue. Black wing is reunited with his grandfather, Flying Cloud. |
