In ancient Greece a race of evil aliens from the moon land on earth. For years they've terrorized the nearby city of Samar, demanding children for sacrifice. Now, the queen of Samar has made a pact with the moon men to conquer the world and become the most powerful woman alive. However, the residents of Samar, sick of all the chaos, cheer when the mighty Hercules shows up to put a stop to it all. Written by
I found this Hercules outing to be lots of fun. Its faster paced than most and Alan Steel certainly had the muscle to make a solid herc. He battles against a monster, an evil temptress/queen, rock like aliens from the moon, a nasty iron maiden, and hordes of hapless underlings. Our hero definitely gets a workout here. I enjoyed the sci-fi twist, it made things out of the ordinary. I should add that the love interest for Hercules is pretty hot although she takes a lot of abuse in this film. The special effects and costumes were well done for the most part. The aliens looked cool as did their boss, a sorcerer with a gnarly gold mask covering his face. There were lots of borrowed bits like dripping blood on a petrified witch in order to bring her back to life. That came from Black Sunday with Barbara Steel. The dungeons were nice with all their clever traps for Hercules to fall into. I found this movie to be very entertaining and much better than rated here. When compared to others in the genre this one scores a solid 8. Check it out!
