Ericson lives in a remote part of Norway in a castle with stone gargoyles. On the eve of a visit by Dr. Benton Quest, one of the gargoyles seems to come to life. In reality, it's a dwarf in disguise, assigned by agents wanting to seize Ericson's invention. As Dr. Quest's boat approaches the castle, Jonny Quest thinks he sees a submarine periscope but no one in the Quest party believes him. But Jonny's eyes haven't deceived him. There is a sub, containing some of the spies after the invention. |
