10 years after this film, Susan Hayward was diagnosed with brain cancer and later died at her home in Beverly Hills on March 14, 1975.
All the cars driven in the movie have their steering wheel on the left side. These cars were made for roads that you would drive on the right side, as opposed to London where you drive on the left side.
Laura's car, first seen at the beginning of the film, is a 1962 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE convertible. In excellent condition, at auction in 2019, this car could be worth over $100,000.
Susan Hayward's immediately subsequent film: Where Love Has Gone (1964), would co-star her with Bette Davis, star of Dark Victory (1939) of which ''Stolen Hours'' is a remake.
The film is a remake of 1939's "Dark Victory", which distributor United Artists owned the rights to (as successor to Associated Artists Productions) at the time of the remake's release.
