"No stupid mutt is going to stand between me and a fortune!"
6 October 2015 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

Lesser later Daffy Duck short where Daffy reads in the paper about a millionaire looking for a boon companion (an outdated term if ever there was one). Daffy wants desperately to get the job but, in order to apply, he must make it past the millionaire's unfriendly bulldog. This is not very good. The animation is sketchy with flat backgrounds the characters seem to just be added onto like Colorforms. The music is passable by Bill Lava standards, which is far from a compliment. The jokes are predictable to a fault, including the final one which I saw coming a mile away. The worst part was how the dilemma of Daffy getting past the dog is never shown to be resolved. The cartoon just runs out of 'fail' gags and cuts to Daffy having somehow made it to the millionaire. So lazy. This is not one of Daffy's best at all but I will admit it's not the worst either. The '60s was littered with terrible Looney Tunes cartoons so this one benefits from the lowered curve.
