Petit Gibus, 29 October 2006

The (deserved)huge success of Yves Robert's "La guerre des boutons" was the main reason for which this film was made.It was obviously written by the same scenarist to capitalize on wiz kid Martin Lartigue aka "Petit Gibus"'s success ,cause he was the stand out of Robert's previous movie. But the boy's spontaneity has disappeared here. He's showing off all along the movie.

It is a the story of a brat who gets lost on the French trains (Bebert and the local train). It is sometimes funny but the young lead is infuriating.Cast includes Jacques Higelin (later a famous French singer),Jean Richard (who was featured in "la Guerre des Boutons" ,but as Lebrac's father) ,Michel Serrault and Yves Robert himself.

Get "La Guerre des Boutons" instead.
