It is easy to spot the films based on original Wallace Novels as they have the most intricate plot construction. This sort of construction would clearly take much more time than would be available to the writer of such a low budget film. The basic story is of the blackmailing of a well known MP and QC who is caught in a rather compromising position shortly before his wedding. However nothing is as it seems and the plot goes some contortions to get to what i have to confess was a rather surprising ending. All the usual ingredients are present.Lots of familiar faces many long since dead and forgotten including the beautiful Dawn Adams who died at the tragically early age of 54.Michael Goodliffe plays a typical role for him as the errant barrister.Certainly one of the better of the series.
