Summoned to India by a dying maharajah, Tarzan attempts to remove an elephant herd from a valley to be flooded upon completion of a modern dam.

Summoned by an Indian princess, Tarzan travels to India where hundreds of wild elephants are in danger. A company is building a hydroelectric dam and the contractors have only a few weeks to finish the job. The building of the dam will flood the valley surrounded by mountains. There is one pass through which the elephant herd can escape but that is being closed. Tarzan comes up against an old nemesis, Bryce, the chief engineer. Bryce undertook a similar dam project in Africa and had a penchant for shooting elephants. It's up to Tarzan to organize the move before Bryce manages to close the pass.—garykmcd

To prevent the agonising death of three hundred wild elephants and countless other animals from the construction of a massive hydroelectric dam, the Maharajah and Princess Kamara enlist the help of Tarzan, the great. Now, from the impenetrable jungles of Africa, Tarzan finds himself in exotic India, only to realise that progress, and Bryce, the head engineer, threaten the future of the lush valley. Princess Kamara asks Tarzan to come to India. A huge dam is going to be opened in order to form a lake which will service an electric power plant. Indian Princess Kamara calls for the assistance of her government in ensuring the building of a dam in a much disputed site in India, involving several hundred elephants. When no help is forthcoming, she confers with her palace officials - who advise her to summon the ape man - Tarzan. She sends an emissary to fetch Tarzan. The Emissary locates Tarzan in the deep jungles of Africa, and manages to convince him to come to Kamara's assistance. Tarzan travels to India, and it is here that he will face the challenge of commandeering close to 300 elephants - who may or may nor understand his commands, and may be drowned.—rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)
