The first POW camp seen is supposed to be Stalag VIII-B in Lamsdorf, Germany (now Lambinowice, Poland). In use from 1939-45, over 100,000 POWs from more than a dozen Allied nations passed through this camp. It was reached by the Soviet Army on March 17, 1945. See more »
