Her husband is out running a series of errands, most of his stops to pick up anniversary gifts for his wife. But the anti-anniversary Gods seem to be working against him as Paris traffic and other problems at each stop seem to be holding him up from getting in and out and to home on time for dinner. Pleasant and enjoyable.

"Happy Anniversary" is an Oscar-winning short film co-written and co-directed by Jean-Claude Carrière and Pierre Étaix. Additionally, Étaix stars in this one.

The film is about a couple's anniversary. You see the wife trying to create the perfect dinner for them--during which time you see her husband going through a very long and drawn out trip home to celebrate. The problem is that one time after another, little things happen to him--such as him being unable to find parking, getting stuck in traffic as well as accidentally destroying the flowers he bought his wife. All of this is mildly funny--none of it is particularly hilarious. In other words, it's pleasant and quite enjoyable but not much more. Interesting and worth seeing since it is a short film of only about 10 minutes.
