Sex & Nudity

  • There is one episode in which several young actresses are scantily clad. A man is seen briefly fantasizing about them.

Violence & Gore

  • Though deaths occur in nearly every episode, little blood is ever shown and their outlandish nature prevents them from being overly intense.
  • There are many deaths involving the use of firearms.

Profanity

  • Physical threats are often made by villains, but outright profanity is rare.
  • The terms "pussy" and "pussyfooting" are used a couple times, but this was before "pussy" was commonly used in reference to genitalia.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters consume alcohol and smoke in many episodes. However, this was fairly typical in 1960s Britain and is never glorified or encouraged.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several episodes have decently strong horror themes (such as "The House That Jack Built" and "The Joker") to the point that they might be upsetting to younger viewers. However, those themes are strictly confined to those episodes, so viewers wishing to avoid being frightened needn't worry otherwise.
  • There are several episodes in which Mrs. Peel (Diana Rigg) is kidnapped and placed in perilous situations. In one episode, a deranged killer tries to saw her in half.
