Elke SOMMER and Bernhard WICKI in a West German Drama by GOLDEN GLOBE winner Kurt HOFFMANN
ZeddaZogenau11 November 2023
This film follows a class of acting students at their Munich acting school. Of course it's all just an act, but it's probably very close to the actual situation. Guided by school director Rohrbach (ACADEMY AWARD nominee Bernhard Wicki) and teacher Elsa Kaiser (later star of the ZDF series DER LANDARZT Antje Weisgerber), a group of acting students (including Corinna Genest, Claus Wilcke) get to know the ups and downs of the acting profession. The example of Mr. Seipel (Gustav Knuth) in particular proves to be very powerful. Among the acting students, two in particular stand out: Gitta (Dunja Movar (1940-1963), who was engaged at the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen and committed suicide there) is extremely talented, while the beautiful Evelyne (GOLDEN GLOBE winner Elke Sommer) has already received offers to film in Italy, which of course only has to be done in a skimpy bikini. The whole spectrum of acting life!

In smaller roles and cameo appearances, among others: Dominik Graf's dad Robert Graf, Johanna von Koczian, Hannes Messemer, Immenhof favorite Margarete Haagen and Hans Clarin the handle in their hands.

This remarkable film was produced by Hans Abich (1918-2003). At the camera was the Swedish cameraman Sven Nykvist, who, after his work with Ingmar Bergman, completed a global career with ACADEMY AWARD nominations.
