Disney Princesses Meet Horror Icons in These Awesome Mash-ups

29 January 2015 3:00 PM, PST | Movies.com | See recent Movies.com news »

Disney villains may be the stuff of nightmares for really small children, but imagine if the heroes and heroines of animated classics went up against really terrifying characters. That's precisely what artist José Rodolfo Loaiza Ontiveros has done with his latest set of parodies, which pit Disney princesses and other favorites from the Mouse House brand against horror film icons and at least two baddies from Batman movies. Most of these are really perfect, such as the above image of Freddy Krueger and Princess Aurora, hinting that the leading lady of Sleeping Beauty might not get to ever wake up, even with a kiss from her prince. Then there's the obvious combo of Little Mermaid's Ariel and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. We're not sure...

Emma Watson Is Disney’s Belle In 'Beauty And The Beast,' Adam Sandler's First Netflix Movies Saddles Up Cast & More

Disney evidently is eager to keep ruining your fond memories of their animated classics with big screen, live-action do-overs or prequels no one asked for. Last year we got "Sleeping Beauty" predecessor "Maleficent," in a couple of months they'll release "Cinderella," and now "Beauty And The Beast" is on the way. The studio announced that Emma Watson will play Belle in this new version. The actress was previously attached to an iteration that would've seen Guillermo del Toro direct, but which never got off the ground. Instead, Bill Condon ("The Fifth Estate," "Dreamgirls") will get behind the camera, with production set to begin later this year. Julia Roberts will produce and star in a remake of the documentary "Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around The World." The movie tells the real life story about how a Make-a-Wish event for Miles Scott — a 5-year-old boy diagnosed with leukemia — wanting to be Batman. »

Emma Watson Reveals She'll Star in 'Beauty and The Beast'

26 January 2015 9:08 AM, PST | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

An hour ago, Emma Watson took to her Facebook page to announce that she will be the lead in Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and The Beast. The former Harry Potter star is very excited to be bringing the role, a childhood favorite of hers, to life.

Post by Emma Watson.

Beauty and The Beast will be the latest in a series of live-action takes on Disney's animated classics. The Mouse House recently explored its Sleeping Beauty with Maleficent, and we they've also got a new Cinderella on the way.

Interestingly, Watson was once loosely attached to a rival Beauty and The Beast production that was set to be directed by Guillermo del Toro. Looks like the prospect of playing the version of Belle that gets to sing Disney's classic songs was enough to lure her away.

Not exactly Sleeping Beauty. Kaley Cuoco's husband Ryan Sweeting filmed the actress in bed recently — but not for the reasons you might think. According to the Big Bang Theory actress, he secretly recorded her snoring to prove a point after she underwent a procedure to fix a deviated septum. "I had sinus surgery the day after Christmas, and it has been the worst surgery of my life. Very painful," the CBS star, 29, told Ellen DeGeneres on Jan. 12. "And on top of it, everyone of [...] »

Watch: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Full 2015 Golden Globes Opening Monologue

12 January 2015 8:07 AM, PST | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

The best part of last night's Golden Globe Awards, for me, was undoubtedly Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's opening monologue, which is now online in its entirety. And of that opening, the best part (again, for me) were the Bill Cosby bits, and I absolutely love the reaction shot you can see just below after Poehler says, "And in Into the Woods, Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from a tower for her prince and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby." Here's said shot: Now, it's a little hard to see, but George Clooney is loving it as is Taylor Hackford and Helen Mirren doesn't seem to mind. But I also love the looks on both Emily Blunt's face and Jessica Chastain sports the ultimate "Oh my god!" look. Check out the complete opening directly below and laugh all over again. »

Watch: Tina Fey And Amy Poehler's Hilarious 10-Minute Opening Monologue From The 2015 Golden Globes

12 January 2015 6:05 AM, PST | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

While the Golden Globes (full list of winners right here) might be less prestigious than the Oscars, it's definitely the more entertaining of the two awards shows, and in recent years, that has been in part because of hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. And for their third and final time at the microphone, they brought the goods, and didn't leave a target untouched, including Bill Cosby.  "In `Into the Woods,' Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from her tower for her prince and Sleeping Beauty just thought that she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby," Poehler quipped in one of the evening's most gasp-inducing jokes. But it didn't stop there, with both Fey and Poehler trotting out Cosby impressions of the scandal-plagued comedian plying pills on his victims. But the night's other barbs were far less controversial.  “Jennifer Aniston is here for her role in the movie ‘Cake, »

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Best Golden Globes Jokes

11 January 2015 11:28 PM, PST | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

If we have one complaint about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's turn as hosts of the 2015 Golden Globes it’s that there wasn’t enough of them. And we wish they were meaner. So two complaints, but that’s it.

And the reason we wanted more of them was because — just like last year — their jokes were the best part of the show. From best to even best-er, here are the most Lol-worthy jokes from a very Lol-y show:

News: Uhhh, Jeremy Renner’s awkward comment about J.Lo’s boobs

9. Amy: “We should explain to all the people in the room — the Hollywood people — cake is like a, it's like a fluffy desert that people eat on their birthdays.”

Tina: “Oh, and birthdays are like a thing people celebrate when they admit that they have aged.”

8. Tina: “Steve Carell’s Foxcatcher look took two hours to put on, including his hair »

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Cosby Jokes: Edgy?

11 January 2015 9:30 PM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler went out with a bang on their last (alleged) Golden Globes hosting gig. While concluding their altogether tremendous monologue, the living legends quipped about the touchiest possible subject: Bill Cosby. Amy Poehler was describing the plot of "Into the Woods" and joked, "In 'Into the Woods,' Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from a tower for her prince, and Sleeping Beauty thought she was just getting coffee with Bill Cosby." The audience gasped (and Jessica Chastain hid her face in her hands), but Fey and Poehler weren't done: They went on to do an impersonation of Bill Cosby murmuring, "I put the pills in the people" with his familiarly silly cadence. I think it worked. First of all, it would be completely unlike Fey and Poehler to avoid the subject of Bill Cosby since their stints as "Weekend Update" anchors were »

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler exit the Golden Globes in a blaze of glory

11 January 2015 8:54 PM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Midway through their monologue as hosts of the 2015 Golden Globes, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler noted that they were never going to host the show again, and were thus free to do whatever they wanted. This started out as them playing a mock game of Who Would You Rather? about men in the audience — Fey, on wanting to have sex with Richard Linklater, noted it would be "Five minutes, once a year" — but the true freedom that came with knowing they didn't have to worry about being invited back didn't manifest itself for another minute or two. While running through the plots of some of the nominated films, Poehler said, "In 'Into the Woods, Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from a tower for her prince, and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby,"  This led to Fey — who snuck in a few »

Downton Abbey Recap: Be Prepared

11 January 2015 7:00 PM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

This week’s Downton Abbey is rated R — for responsible!

Not wanting to commit to Tony without first taking him for a test drive, Mary asked Anna to go to “the village” and pick her up a condom. At least, I think it was a condom; neither woman could bring herself to actually say the word aloud. (Update: It was a diaphragm!)

Of course, she might need a whole lot more protection than that if Tony makes good on his promise of all-night love making. (And what a naughty little speech that was.) But here’s my question: Do contraceptives protect against sudden, »

Golden Globes Monologue: Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Target North Korea, Clooney, Cosby – Video

Tina Fey and Amy Poeher did their final No Accountability Opening Monologue at the Golden Globe Awards, welcoming the ballroom full of “despicable minimally talented brats” to their third Globe at-bat, noting they were all gathered to “celebrate the TV shows we know and love as well as all the movies North Korea was okay with.”

They complained that North Korea’s attack on Sony and threats against theater goers had “forced us all to pretend we wanted to see [The Interview], saying North Korea calling the movie “absolutely intolerable” was not the worst review the movie got.

Most zingily, the co-hosts noted George Clooney married Amal Ramzi Alamuddin this year. “Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an adviser to [former Un Secretary General] Kofi Annan regarding Syria, and was selected for a three-person Un commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza strip,” Fey said. “So tonight, »
