Alternate versions for
Sleeping Beauty (1959) More at IMDbPro »

  • At one point, the Swedish version was slightly edited to remove Prince Phillip hitting the Dragon's snout with his sword, as it was deemed too violent for Swedish children and also not motivated enough. It was eventually restored.

  • The 2008 "Platinum Edition" DVD and Blu-Ray release includes the film in its original Super Technirama 70 aspect ratio of 2.55:1, which makes the movie even wider than when originally presented theatrically in 1959.

  • The 2003 "Special Edition" DVD release included two versions of the film: one in 1.33:1 pan-and-scan and a widescreen print formatted in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
