The Fair at the field was a biannual exhibition at the national and sometimes international which began in the 1950 and that until the beginning of the 70 to be held in the "Casa de Campo". It was a contest to attending the different Spanish provinces and some American countries, bringing samples of the best of livestock, agricultural products, ceramics, etc. As well as the ultimate in agriculture material that is intermingled with the traditional tools in the various provincial pavilions.
Was configured as a mini city with pavilions erected in accordance with the architectural characteristics of each province or reproductions of the most important monuments, as was the case of the pavilion of Toledo in the "Puerta Bisagra" or Zaragoza with the "Puerta del Carmen" or a "hórreo" asturian, as well as other pavilions specialized in the agricultural industries. It was devoted a day in each province. Each pavilion was attended by countrymen adorned with their costumes. The result is that in a day gave a tour of the whole of Spain capturing part of its rural atmosphere, folklore and culinary, where went loaded with brochures, some remember purchased and the stomach full of foods and wines indigenous.
The "Casa de Campo" of Madrid, during the Spanish Civil War, was one of the fronts more assets, that the end of the contest remained closed to the public and not opened until 1946. Some 10 years after its inauguration, Rafael J. Salvia as he had done Francisco Rovira Beleta three years before with the International Fair of Samples of Barcelona he paid tribute film bringing a cadre stellar actors who lived various adventures during the course of the Fair.
Among them are "Germán" and "Rosa" (Javier Garcia and Pilar Cansino) representing a small village of "La Mancha" and travel to Madrid next to "Damián" (Jose Isbert) and other neighbors. In this movie "Días de Feria", the importance is not the script, which is very simple and done to entertain while it is displayed in depth what was the Fair at the field. It also has a great value the cast of players are emerging throughout the film as Tony Leblanc, Jesus Puente, Jose Luis Lopez Vazquez, Luis Sanchez Polack, Josefina Serratosa . It is a movie amusing to see and highly recommended to see a small part of the history of Madrid.
