Storyline

78 episodes produced 1959-1961. Finucane is a hard-nosed policeman with the San Diego, California Police Department while Ben Andrews is a reporter with the Chronicle newspaper. Both men worked well together while Finucane was assisted by young cops in 10 to 15 of the 78 episodes. The musical score was up-to-date jazz. Written by J.E. This TV show taught me the correct way to seat a Fedora on one's head. Every episode had Victor Jory's character leave his office to investigate a crime only after "screwing" his Fedora onto his head in with great precision. I still do it his way to this day.
