Storyline

The humble physician's assistant Evaristo González and his wife Marta are busily looking for an apartment, as they have four small children and are living in rented accommodation in a building that should be demolished. But in 1958 in Spain was not as easy to access to a decent housing and the couple found themselves in dire straits to fulfill their dream, living in the process the most comical situations. Excellent paint a portrait of social

The humble composite marriage for Evaristo and Marta lives, with their four children, in a modest Madrilenian street. Certain day, communicate them the bringing down of the housing that occupies, it who obliges to the marriage to begin as soon as possible the despairing search of a new housing. This film surprises for the boldness of your social criticism on the situation of the housing in the middle of time of years 50, and show it of an unripe form that in my opinion is the more hard thing of the films of thoses years. Fernando Fernán Gómez is the central character that moves the whole action of the cross, and represents to a character maybe a little candid for your environment. Of the remainder of characters they stand out the worker group by showing a limitless comprehension towards the protagonists, achieving a good Actuación. This film surprises for the boldness of your social criticism on the situation of the housing in the middle of 50 years , and show it of an unripe form that in my opinion is the more hard thing of the films of thoses years. It is the second better film after "Surcos" director José Antonio Nieves Conde. The action it develops in magnificent stages of the old Madrid
