Hell Drivers (1957)
[Ed is encouraging Tom to drive faster and faster along a single-track road]
Ed, Hawlett Mechanic: Don't ease up.
Tom Yately: Supposing we meet something.
Ed, Hawlett Mechanic: Supposing we don't. Look on the bright side.
Tub, Truck Driver: My name's Tub. Where you from, mate?
Tom Yately: Around.
Dusty, Truck Driver: That's up north somewhere, ain't it?
Johnny Kates: Go on, you can tell a good Welshman when you hear one. Cardiff, isn't it mate?
Tom Yately: Near there - Blaenllechau.
Tub, Truck Driver: That's a horrible disease!
Lucy, Hawlett Trucking Secretary: You think I'm flinging myself at you, don't you?
Tom Yately: You're doing a fair imitation.
Lucy, Hawlett Trucking Secretary: You know, you've got a nasty habit...
Tom Yately: Yes, I've got lots of them. Which one are you talking about?
Lucy, Hawlett Trucking Secretary: I could like you, if only...
Tom Yately: Look, nobody's asking you to like me. You're Gino's girl.
Lucy, Hawlett Trucking Secretary: Ever thought of asking me that?
C. 'Red' Redman, Foreman: I don't like yer' attitude. You've got a chip on your shoulder.
Tom Yately: You think so?
C. 'Red' Redman, Foreman: An' if I was to knock it off, your head might go with it.
Tom Yately: Well, I'm the last man to want to walk around without a head.
Lucy, Hawlett Trucking Secretary: I heard what they're saying. Is it true?
Tom Yately: Yes, it's true. I wasn't framed, and nobody talked me into anything. And the judge didn't give me a raw deal. Happy?
Lucy, Hawlett Trucking Secretary: You still have an invitation to eat at my place.
