There's two big stars in this movie and they both got even bigger in "Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman." I know it's a cheap shot, but Allison Hayes's chest through this movie looks as if they're a pair of over-ripe melons about to explode. Could they get her dress any tighter ?! The ridiculous script is treated and played straight despite the requirements that Corman had filming it an abandoned supermarket that had gone out of business.I can see how this movie is both criticized and applauded, but I first watched it as a fan of Mrs. Hayes.Since then,I've considered it a worthy little film deserving of its own respect.I'm also a MST3K fan,but I don't let that cloud my love and fondness for a film that is probably one of the best things that Allison Hayes ever did. There's a lot of movies I love that I wish had been MSTed.I agree totally with Mr. Maltin that this movie is a gem,,,,,a faded gem, perhaps, but one worth seeing and being appreciated by classic horror fans.Try and find the non-MST3K version if you can, this movie will tug at your heart or rip it right out with the ending.Oh yeah,,,,STAY !!!!!!
