Storyline

Chad Santee heads west to join his brother, Jubal, who supposedly has a large cattle ranch. On the way he meets Rose Fargo and rescues her from the unwanted advances of a gambler, "Blackjack". When Chad and Rose arrive they find that Jubal and his partner, Shawnee, are really rustlers and outlaws. Jubal tries to get Chad to join them but he refuses, and leaves to set up his own homestead with Rose at his side. Later, the repentant Jubal comes to join him. Shawnee, angry at what he considers a double-cross, attacks the brothers with his gang. Written by Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>

Goofs

When the stagecoach gets held up early in the movie, they are on a large dirt road and the team of horses is taken from the coach. As they camp that night, a large rock appears next to the rear wheel of the coach. This is an obvious interior shot much different from the earlier exterior shot. See more »

Quotes

Sheriff Jorgen: Jubal was hit right over there by the woods. I gunned him down myself. He can't have got far.
Deputy: We combed the woods. He's either lit out, holed up or dead.

A pretty decent B western
5 June 2017 | by (Winnipeg, Canada) – See all my reviews

Buster Crabbe returns home after a six year stint in the army to join his brother Neville Brand in running a cattle ranch. Upon arriving home, he discovers Brand is no rancher ... he's the leader of a notorious outlaw gang. Crabbe wants to leave and take saloon singer Ann Robinson with him, but Brand's lieutenant Michael Ansara has different plans for both of them. A B-grade western that gains a lot of entertainment value from Brand and Ansara. Crabbe is fine, but his character is the kind of upright, stodgy 50's hero that ends up seeming a little too naive and occasionally outright dumb to really identify with. Though it's only about an hour and twenty minutes long, it still could stand to be about 15 minutes shorter.
