Storyline
| Plot Summary |
On the first night of his London assignment, news agency reporter John Desmond becomes heavily involved with enigmatic Anna Ray. The affair ends when she is shot struggling for a gun she has pulled on him. Larry Parks had been blacklisted because of former Communist associations, while Constance Smith had simply been dropped from a lucrative Twentieth Century-Fox contract after failing to make much impression in her American films, which had been box-office flops.
