Fun, cute and different comedy

Without the material means of Hollywood, German cinema made a real effort to achieve a Yankee-style musical comedy. In order to replace the huge stage with lights and a profusion of costumes and effects, the filmmakers found a subterfuge: the numbers were made outdoors, simulating a rehearsal before the official presentation. The objective was fully achieved: the performance makes you forget the meager resources available to be filmed. However, we note certain neglect and poverty of elements. In a complete panoramic view, in addition to actors, is easy to espy the studio electricians, driving the spotlight upon the bridges of the set. "Liebe, Tanz und 1000 Schlager" with its arbitrary and illogical argument is a parade of different and good-quality musical numbers. Unfortunately, towards the end, the plot is weakened to the point that the film seems to end in a nose dive. Fun,cute and different, this is a pleasant comedy to be enjoyed.
