Scotland Yard scene is lifted from "The Hot Scots". The rest of this short mostly consists of footage from "Crime on Their Hands". See more »

Goofs

The inter-cut old/new footage of Shemp does not blend. Old footage has him dressed neatly, with a nicely knotted tie, and buttoned vest and suit jacket. New footage has the tie loosely knotted, and vest and jacket unbuttoned; he is about 20 lbs. heavier. See more »

Hot ice baby!
29 June 2001 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

Hot Ice (1955) stars Moe, Larry and Shemp as "yard men". They want to become detectives so they take (steal) the case of a missing diamond. The boys find the criminals after a hot tip and Shemp accidently swallows the diamond! Shemp also find a new friend, an ape!

Shemp: Cut it out! Cut it out! Bad Guy: That's just what we're gonna do!

This is an enjoyable Shemp short with good gags. Watch for it on Columbia Home Video or American Movie Classics.
