Chicago – Meeting with Columbus Short is encountering a true force of nature. Focused, intent and with a varied perspective, this up-and-coming young actor and performer has the centerpiece role in the new film, “Armored.”
Columbus plays Ty Hackett, an Iraq War veteran who takes a job with an armored car company to care for his 14 year-old brother after their parents die. After going through initial training, an obsessive co-worker reveals a surefire way to stage a robbery and split the cash among all the participants.
Ty is initially reluctant to join in, but the financial pressures eventually allow him to relent. The pick-up of the cash goes smoothly, but an unexpected interruption throws the operation into a tailspin. What happens next becomes more than the money, and has implications that will change everyone involved.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, with the magical score by Frank Loesser. Late last week, Joe Francis told MTV News his side of the story regarding a Thursday-night bar fight he got into with "The Hills" star Brody Jenner and his girlfriend, Jayde Nicole that resulted in Jenner being tased. Now Nicole is coming out with her version.
In a statement to TMZ, the Playmate says that she was, in fact, assaulted by the "Girls Gone Wild" founder at the Guys and Dolls club in Los Angeles, contrary to Francis' claim that he would never hit a girl.

"The Hills" star Brody Jenner was involved in a scuffle at the Guys and Dolls nightclub in West Hollywood, California, late Thursday, with "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis. Initial reports claimed that the men fought over Jayde Nicole - who was with Brody Jenner - and that Francis had assaulted the Canadian ex Playboy model in the club. The two men were subsequently ejected from the nightclub. After more fighting outside, Jenner was tasered into submission. Francis went on record with TMZ.com and MTV News saying that the club's security footage backs his claim that he in no way assaulted Jayde Nicole, but shows Jenner did strike him. "This was an unprovoked attack," Francis tells MTV.

Not long after a bar fight between "Hills" star Brody Jenner and "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis was broken up at a West Hollywood nightclub, Jenner took to his Twitter account to write about the incident.
"Joe Francis needs to be in jail!!!" Jenner wrote about Francis, who reportedly tangled with the reality-tv star's girlfriend, Jayde Nicole. "How can you call yourself a man when you beat up a girl?? Joe Francis is a piece of sh--."

Joe Francis is back in the news again, this time for allegedly punching and kicking former Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole after she threw a drink in Francis' face at the La hotspot Guys and Dolls.
It started when the "Girls Gone Wild" creator wouldn't leave one of his ex-girlfriends alone, one who happened to be friends with Nicole and boyfriend Brody Jenner. Jenner claims Francis was hitting on the woman "unrelentingly" until Nicole stepped in to defend her and to help stop the harassment. That's when the drink was thrown.
Francis then reportedly pulled Nicole's hair, punched her in the face and threw her onto the ground and began kicking her repeatedly. The club security broke things up and dragged Francis away, with Jenner tailing. Both men were ejected from the club, but it didn't end there.

"The Hills" star Brody Jenner reportedly got into a bar fight on Thursday night with "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis at West Hollywood club, Guys and Dolls (the same club where Chris Brown was seen singing and dancing after his sentencing on Tuesday).
TMZ reported that Jenner, who was at the club celebrating his birthday with his girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, apparently threw a drink on Francis after Nicole felt that he was being "unrelentingly" harassing towards an ex-girlfriend of his. The girl is reportedly an acquaintance of both Jenner's and Nicole's.
Jenner said that in response Francis pulled Nicole's hair and punched her in the face. He then threw her to the ground and kicked her. Security broke up the fight

After an altercation with Brody Jenner at Guys and Dolls nightclub in West Hollywood, California, late Thursday, Joe Francis spoke to MTV News and tried to clarify the night's events. The "Girls Gone Wild" founder said there is security footage of the incident that proves he didn't assault Jenner's girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, but that the "Hills" star definitely assaulted him.

About a month ago, we reported that director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, RocknRolla) was working on a big screen remake of "Guys and Dolls" and was trying to fill the roles originally played by Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. Ritchie has already signed Jason Statham (Transporter, Crank) and now it seems that he's in talks with Justin Timberlake to join the project. Film director Guy Ritchie is reported to be considering making a new film version of the classic 1950 Broadway musical Guys and Dolls, and is allegedly in Hollywood right now signing a deal to helm said project.
According to a report in the British daily The Sun, he has been "given the greenlight to embark on a casting mission to fill the roles of Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit." In the original, those roles were played by screen legends Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra.
"He had been throwing ideas around with Jason Statham about writing their own musical," reported a source. "They were joking that it would be a cross between Worzel Gummidge and Bullitt."

Guy Ritchie is set to branch out from the world of gangster cinema - the filmmaker is reportedly in Hollywood to begin writing a script for a remake of Guys And Dolls.
The director, best known for his London-based crime films, is said to have roped in movie hardman Jason Statham to show off his vocal talents in a reworking of the classic musical, which originally starred Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Guy has been on the case with the idea of making a musical recently. He had been throwing ideas around with Jason Statham about writing their own musical.
"Guy has had a lot of meetings with top studio bosses about other projects but the Guys And Dolls idea really tickled him."
But Ritchie could be sticking to a familiar formula when shooting begins - he is apparently considering basing the song-and-dance classic in his native Britain.
