8 Things Taylor Swift's New Music Video Looks Like

19 August 2014 3:40 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

For her new single "Shake It Off," Taylor Swift told her fans she wanted to make a song that sounded like nothing she'd ever done before. For the song's video, though, she went in a more familiar direction, taking cues from all manner of popular culture. Take a look at the eight pieces of visual inspiration we've spotted, below. Taylor's Own Music Video for "You Belong With Me:" Taylor's love of awkward dancing (and cheerleader iconography) was evident from an early age. The "Choreography" Scene from White Christmas: Danny Kaye's skewering of modern dance was slightly more barbed than Taylor's gentle ribbing. »

Disney Classics Getting Blu-Ray Release August 12th – Tarzan, Hercules, And More

6 August 2014 2:18 PM, PDT | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

A slew of classic Disney movies are hitting for the first time on Blu-Ray, including one double-pack release, and you’re going to want to make sure to pick these up. You haven’t paid attention to some of these titles for a while, and it’s about time you got the chance to catch them on Blu-Ray. The best part is that there’s a great mix of releases hitting. Bedknobs and Broomsticks is all but lost in the cultural consciousness, and it deserves a return. The Academy Award-winning movie from the year I was born is filled with a lot of fun and adventure, and like most Disney films, holds up well for a whole new generation.

The rest of the group covers a great spectrum, including two animated “big” titles, and a 10th Anniversary release. There’s a lot to expose your family to here, so check out all the info below, »

Rainbow Coalition: Top 10 Movie Titles with Color and Substance

1 July 2014 12:23 PM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Sure, it would be easy to rattle off all sorts of movie titles that feature the name of colors. Go ahead and knock yourself out: The Pink Panther, Red Dawn, Yellow Submarine, Purple Rain, Blue Velvet, Goldfinger, etc. The listing seems rather endless. However, can one come up with color-contained movie titles that also carry some messaging of substance and contemplation?  Maybe films such as Fried Green Tomatoes or Steel Magnolias are color-coated entries that carries some relevance in its messaging about feminine empowerment for instance. In Rainbow Coalition: Top 10 Movie Titles with Color and Substance let us look are the leading selections that have both color (in title) and substance (in thematic forethought) attached to its skin. Hey, maybe one can make a case for Pink Flamingos but The Blue Lagoon might be stretching things a bit…don’t you think? The Rainbow Coalition: Top 10 Movie Titles with Color »

The 1949 music-filled comedy Love Happy was the final film starring the legendary Marx Brothers (Duck Soup, Animal Crackers).

In the film, Harpo Marx is a true patron of the arts, taking from the rich to help feed a group of poor actors struggling to open a new musical without financial backers. He unknowingly makes off with the missing Romanoff diamonds when he shoplifts a tin of sardines from a classy Manhattan market. The diamonds have been smuggled into the country by a sinful yet sizzlingly beautiful jewel thief, Madame Egelichi (Ilona Massey). The Madame traces the tin back to the theater and becomes the show’s financial backer. Hoping to recover the missing diamonds, she and her henchmen nearly bring the whole house down in a madcap race to retrieve the jewels on opening night.

Our Eight Favorite Easter Flicks

10 April 2014 7:02 AM, PDT | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

There may be more Christmas movies than movies set in Canada, and pretty much every horror flick counts as a Halloween flick. Even New Year's Eve has dozens of great movies centered around it, but when it comes to Easter, there's practically nothing. In fact, to the undiscerning eye, it may look like it's easier to pick a movie for Flag Day than it is for Easter—c'mon Hollywood, even Groundhog's Day has, well, Groundhog's Day.

Despite the paucity of obvious candidates, though, there are in fact quite a few good movies for Easter viewing, even for those of us who aren't religious (and if you are, then you don't need us to remind of of staples like The Greatest Story Ever Told or The Last Temptation of Christ). Here's our recommendation for Easter-themed flicks to enjoy that do more to celebrate (or, in many cases, lampoon) the holiday than just featuring a rabbit. »
