Character error

In the scene where the trailer falls off the jack in the rainstorm, Lucille Ball (as Tacy) calls "Ricky" instead of his character's name "Nicky".

During the closing scenes, Mrs. Tewitt parks her car by the office where Desi is waiting for Lucy. In the closing shot where Lucy and Desi embrace and the camera pulls away, the car seems to be missing. However, just as the screen fades to black for the closing credits, the right front corner of Mrs. Tewitt's car is visible in the lower left corner of the screen.

Continuity

Nicky and Tacy buy a new 1953 Mercury to pull the long, long trailer, but during the hill-climbing scene it is the larger '53 Lincoln. In one shot rounding a curve, the distinctly different grill of the Lincoln can be seen clearly.

In the scene where Nicky and Tacy are having their dinner in their trailer in the rain, Tacy brings a bottle of Chianti (a dark red wine) to the table. You can clearly see the coloring through the bottle. When she pours the wine it has changed both in the bottle, and in the glasses to a white wine.

When the couple stop on top of the mountain, the trailer tips to the left. When Nicky hops in the trailer, it is sitting perfect without Nicky struggling to get in.

In the scene where the "ladies" are stocking the trailer, Nicky opens the pantry door and you see a dust broom in the door. When the door swings closed and opens again the broom is gone.

In the final scene, Tacy is completely dry in the trailer. Yet immediately after going outside to run after Nicky, she is shown completely drenched from head to toe.

As the 53 New Moon trailer begins the climb up the mountain, the crew is reflected in the side of the trailer as it passes by.

Errors in geography

On the first day out, Nicky tells Tasy to find Highway 101 which for the most part run near the coast. She says she's found it and points to it on the map, but she's pointed to US 99, which goes up the Central Valley.

Nicky and Tacy are going from LA to Colorado. Northbound on US 101 would put the Pacific Ocean on your left. Scenes with the ocean show it on their right.

On their way "to Colorado" after "Breezin Along With Breeze" musical number they come out of the Wawona Tunnel at the entrance to Yosemite Valley (up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains far out of their way). Bridal Veil Falls (and Glacier Point) can be seen in front of them just right of center, Half Dome in the distance, and Glacier Point on the left.and in the next shot, Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls can be seen. And after Yosemite they find the heavy traffic and southern climate once more,

To go to Colorado from L.A., one goes to Las Vegas, then normally north through Utah to Grand Junction, Colorado, then across the Rockies to Denver on a big open highway, Interstate 70 (all be it high altitude past Vail skiing resort), or take the southern route to Flagstaff Arizona (see the Grand Canyon) then to New Mexico (Mesa Verde), before going north to Denver (tho they'd lose the mountain-crossing scenes (unless they turned north too early--which would have required them to cross Pike's Peak, the craziest steep road over a mountain anywhere at the time.

Instead, they make a haywire trip North up the California Coast, over to Yosemite and then who knows where? They find lots of traffic, towns... She even has a rock from the Snake River--up in Idaho? When they finally do cross the Rockies, it's on a southern desert route, no large interstate hwy as crosses the mountains into Denver--seems the alternate route was the more dangerous for a trailer. Huge desert vistas can be seen that are not in the Rockies.
