Trivia

Although Jock Mahoney (Cedric) had moved on to starring success at other studios' low-budget films, and his own television series, he returned to film a few continuity sequences for this stock footage remake. See more »

Goofs

(at around 20 mins) When the trumpets are to play, and the boys are throwing fruit at them so they can not be played, several shots of the trumpet bells being pelted with fruit show fruit juice upon impact, and then they are clean again as the next piece of fruit hits. Also, fruit hitting the bell of a trumpet as someone is trying to play it, is going to be more effective at stopping the player from playing due to the impact against the player's mouth moreso that due to the bell being full of fruit. The Stooges play matchmaker ...........
21 July 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This 1954 short from the Three Sooges is set in the days of kings and castles. Shemp is featured here as the boys try to help Jock Mahoney (TV's Range Rider) romance the lovely Ms. McIntire.

While Curly was my favorite Stooge, Shemp was terrific and this was one of the best featuring the homely, but lovable comic. Mahoney was surprisingly good in this comedy and McIntire was as funny as ever.

The knuckleheads are in fine form here, involved in one fiasco after another. This is an above average Stooge short, with good pacing and many laugh out loud moments.

Give this one a try..... the guys are "victims of soicumtance" !
