Jacques de Maudy, the son of a sick nobleman, returns to France to try and clear his name from a framed-up crime. He avoids the traps sets for him and, with the aid of an actors' troupe, gathers the evidence against the true guilty party. The governor declares him innocent and his fortune and titles are returned to him. Written by Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
A silly swashbuckler film reminiscent of "Scaramouche," which was a much better film. Entertaining and predictable, if you have nothing better to do. It seems to have disappeared. Too bad, considering the effort involved. Also has a rare appearance by Richard Basehart.
