The great point of interest of this movie is without a doubt Sophia Loren. This is one of her first parts but you can already notice all the atributes that made this woman a movie goddess. Her inocence diferences this from those later works where she stars as the main character and its funny to see so much talent in her, just waiting for na oportunity. The truth is you can´t take your eyes off her in every scene. She is and always will be one of the most sexy and seductive women that ever lived. The movie itself is a nice comedy, about a woman, called Cesira that tries to get a husband any way she can. We watch her struggle, while her cousin (Loren) gets all the attencion of men she could possibly want without any trouble at all. Also notice the hilarious part of Vittorio de Sicca, as an old, poor poet, that uses every known trick to get some money causing amazingly funny scenes. The end is quite sad, not suiting the tone of the movie. Its cruel but maybe its as real as it can. Happy ends don´t usually happen in real life!
I also liked the direction of Dino Rici. Recomended! Its funny, well acted and with Sophia Loren! What more can we want???
