Character error

Toward the end of the movie, in the scene where the Khan and Effie converse sitting on his sofa, the vizier announces that the Khan's daughter has returned. The Khan dismisses him, saying, "Ms. Barshi can wait". The correct name of his daughter is Tarji.

In the opening sequence, from shot to shot, there is complete lack of consistency as to which leg Cary Grant has crossed over the other.

Factual errors

In the scene where Effie is served Arak by the Khan, she is informed that it is a wine made from rice. In fact, Arak is an liquorice-flavored liquor made from distilled late-harvest grapes mixed with aniseed.

Revealing mistakes

Upon arrival to America, as Tarji exits the plane, we see "Star of Bukistan": written across the aircraft in English and Arabic. In the next shot, as she is descending the aircraft's stairs, it changes to "Trans World Airlines"
