Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Police are seen tracking down and arresting drug addicts and pushers.
  • A drugged woman is rolled out of a car and down an embankment. She is shown to be dead.
  • There are some struggles as drug pushers fight against competition and take others into their control by drug addiction.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Addicts are shown shooting up, smoking reefer and popping pills.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Although this is similar to Tell Your Children (1936) this old film shows the dangers of drug addiction and many of the results of that life. By today's standards, however, it may be laughable.
  • The most intense and disturbing scene may be when a girl and guy are trapped in a desert cave, coming down from heroin addiction cold turkey. Their body motions and facial expressions show misery. At one point they are foaming at the mouth.
