The sole IMDb review of "Ride the Man Down" (1952) says it all. This is a very good western based on a rich story about a type of range conflict. After the death of a big rancher who defended his spread, his heirs are in a weaker position to parry the inroads of surrounding ranchers. The foreman Rod Cameron takes the lead in pushing back to keep the spread intact for Ella Raines.
Fans of action westerns will like this Joseph Kane directed story a lot. Every member of the cast stands out in portraying an array of different kinds of characters. Movie fans will recognize an amazing list of actors, including Rod Cameron, Ella Raines, Jim Davis, Brian Donlevy, J. Carroll Naish, Paul Fix, Barbara Britton, Taylor Holmes, Chill Wills, Douglas Kennedy and Forrest Tucker.
