Some guy travels to an island to search for ancient roman artifacts on the seafloor. There he meets a girl from the local lighthouse (Briggitte Bardot), who he falls in love with. This was Bardot's earliest film I believe, and she's visibly quite young, and very beautiful. There's not a whole lot that goes on here, and it's not a very long film either. The ending is kind of sudden, and only mildly happy. It wasn't an excellent film, but it was decent enough, and I didn't have any trouble paying attention to it.
If you're a fan of Briggitte Bardot, then you may want to check this out. There's some singing parts in this, which unfortunately is overdubbed with someone else's voice. We wouldn't get blessed with Bardot's singing voice until later in her career. She's very cute in this, and the story is decent.
