The same plot was developed 9 years later by Robert Bloch in "Psycho"; by consequence, "El hombre sin rostro" anticipates Alfred Hitchcock's film for 10 years. Same thing happened with another Bustillo Oro's film, "Dos Monjes" (1934): this time, Kurosawa's "Rashômon" use the same plot and the "different point of view" narrative technique.
