Cry Danger (1951)
Darlene LaVonne: You drinkin' that stuff so early?
Delong: Listen, doll girl, when you drink as much as I do, you gotta start early.
Williams, Trailer Park Manager: I don't like it at all, Mr. Mulloy.
Rocky Mulloy: Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I knew what you were talking about.
Rocky Mulloy: [door opens] Fletcher apartment?
Alice Fletcher: I don't need any brushes, but come on in.
Rocky Mulloy: Mrs. Fletcher?
Alice Fletcher: Yes.
Rocky Mulloy: I'd like to see your husband.
Alice Fletcher: Well, that's not very flattering. Would you like some coffee?
Rocky Mulloy: Oh, a second cup never hurt anybody.
Rocky Mulloy: You're a pint ahead of schedule.
Delong: Only the blind can really see.
Rocky Mulloy: Well, you're only half blind.
Delong: I'll fix that.
Rocky Mulloy: You know, I had another friend once who had trouble with that stuff. He found a way to get off of it.
Rocky Mulloy: He quit.
Delong: Thank you, Billy Sunday.
Harry, Bookie: So what if a bookie gets hit hard? It's a big joke. Big joke. Never occurs to you that I've got a wife and kids like other people. Well, there goes the two weeks at camp I promised the kids this summer.
Rocky Mulloy: Say, you've got all my dough. How about some cab fare?
Detective Lt. Gus Cobb: What're you gonna pay me back with, some more of that hot money?
Rocky Mulloy: Maybe all of it.
Detective Lt. Gus Cobb: All right, there's 20. That's out of my own pocket. Remember, I've got a wife and a couple of kids.
Rocky Mulloy: I haven't met anybody lately who hasn't.
Detective Lt. Gus Cobb: Now, just get it through your heads that the pressure's on.
Detective Lt. Gus Cobb: I wouldn't give a nickel for your husband's chances before that parole board with all this going on.
Detective Lt. Gus Cobb: And I wouldn't give a nickel for your chances with those two apes running around looking for you.
Detective Lt. Gus Cobb: For you, I just wouldn't give a nickel.
Newsie: [Seeing Mulloy's picture on Page One of the paper] Nice picture, isn't it?
Rocky Mulloy: Add five years to it, and it'd look just like me.
Nancy Morgan: What happens if the police come?
Rocky Mulloy: We're old friends. We'll always find something to talk about.
Williams, Trailer Park Manager: [as Mulloy exits the trailer park shower] Did you turn off the shower?
Rocky Mulloy: [Deadpanned] I couldn't even turn it on.
Delong: [to Darlene] Let's get out of this sun and into a nice cool bar.
Rocky Mulloy: And do me a favor Castro, while I'm on the phone, try and jump me. I'd like nothing better thsn to give it to you in the belly.
